There is an outstanding opportunity for a Director of Strategic Information (DSI) with I-TECH South Africa located in Pretoria, South Africa.
The International Training and Education Center for Health (I-TECH) is a center in the University of Washington’s Department of Global Health that works in partnership with the University of California, San Francisco.
I-TECH has projects in more than 20 countries, and its worldwide staff work with local ministries of health, universities, non-governmental organizations, medical facilities, and other partners to support efficient, well-ordered health care systems that provide high quality care to all citizens.
This position is located at I-TECH South Africa located in Pretoria, South Africa. I-TECH South Africa’s goal is to improve the effectiveness, efficiency, and sustainability of South African national HIV, sexually transmitted infections and tuberculosis response.
The DSI will work to improve the quality of I-TECH South Africa’s programs as well as administration and management of practices in the country office.
With the support of the Country Director, the DSI will work to assure M&E integration in all areas of technical assistance, offer leadership to further develop Quality Improvement systems, and Informatics Systems across all activity areas and collect appropriate information on all PEPFAR activities.
He/she will provide leadership to the Strategic Information (SI) Team which compromises of the Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E), Research, and Informatics Units. In this role he/she will support country.
Responsibilities:
This full time position is based at the I-TECH offices in Pretoria South Africa. The DSI requires occasional participation in early morning and late evening telephone conference calls in order to accommodate time zone differences between Seattle and its I-TECH South Africa.
I-TECH operates within a grant-funded environment. Due to this, the total amount of this position’s FTE may fluctuate based on program funding and needs.
