Department Description The School of Chemistry in the Faculty of Science invites applications for positions as Lecturer, Senior Lecturer or Associate Professor in the field of inorganic chemistry.
The School has an existing, well-established inorganic materials research team and is now specifically seeking to strengthen its classical and fundamental inorganic chemistry.
This appointment therefore exclusively focuses on applicants with demonstrable expertise and achievements in fundamental organometallic, coordination, main group, or physical inorganic chemistry.
The School is well equipped with instruments that underpin the field, namely single crystal and powder X-ray diffraction, TGA, and triple resonance NMR spectroscopy as well as basic instruments such as electronic and FTIR spectrometers.

Qualifications
The required qualification is a PhD in fundamental inorganic chemistry with post-doctoral research experience in the field as demonstrated by publications in leading international journals (particularly those of the ACS, RSC, and Wiley).
Duties
Overall responsibilities would include the lecturing in fundamental inorganic chemistry at undergraduate and postgraduate levels as well as the establishment of an independent research programme.
The ability to work in a team environment would be an advantage.
Fluency in written and spoken English is essential.
