University of Nairobi Principal Counselling Psychologist Jobs in Kenya

Job specifications

Masters Degree in any of the following fields: Counseling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Occupational and Educational Psychology, Sociology and Social Work or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution.

9 years counselling experience with at three (3) years experience as a Senior Counselor Grade 12 OR 9 years work experience in a position of comparable responsibility in the University, of which at least 3 years must be at Grade 12

Duties and responsibilities

The duties of the Principal Counselling Psychologist shall include but are not limited to:

Participate in Counselling and psychotherapy for students and staff.

Take part in the coordinating adherence counselling and support

Organize, coordinate and participate in training and workshops for counsellors,

Coordinate seminars and workshops on behavior change,

Sensitize the University community on HIV, ADA, NC, NCD, RHS, and mental Health among others.
