University of Limpopo Projects Officers (Student Development Officer) Jobs in South Africa



Requirements:

  • An appropriate M+3 Degree /Diploma in Public Administration /Management, Education, Social Work and Project Management.

  • A minimum of two (2) years’ experience within Student Affairs in a University environment.

  • Exposure in preparing student programs and budgets for Student Representative Council.

  • Experience in student events management and organising.

  • Ability to guide and support student leadership events.

  • Knowledge of relevant higher education legislative framework.

    Skills and competencies

  • Proven record of student leadership activities co-ordination.

  • Ability to develop plan of action for student activities.

  • Exposure and experience in student events and programmes.

  • Extensive knowledge of student administration and support.

  • Sensitivity to student’s needs and ability to play advocacy role for students.

  • Ability to implement policies and advance a vibrant campus life for students

  • Effective communication skills and ability to work in teams.

  • Ability to work under pressure and extended hours.

    Duties:

  • Conduct student structures and student leadership induction programme on project management.

  • Ensures all student structures develop sound plans of action in relation to their events

  • Assist the newly elected SRC to develop a Plan of Action, including supporting their affiliated student structures to have plan of actions.

  • Develop a Student Life, Governance and Development calendar of events.

  • Promote and publicise student events and maximize the Keyaka Student Magazine services.

  • Coordinate a local organising committee for all major
    student’s events for a year.

  • Facilitate and conduct planning for all student events on campus in particular for Student Representative Council and Affiliated Student Structures events.

  • Ensures compliance with the university rules, protocol and policies in relation to events management.

  • Consolidate a report for Student Representative Council and Student

  • Structures on monthly basis as a contribution to Student Life activities report.

  • Support the Annual Performance Plan (APP) of Student Life, Governance and Development under Student Affairs Division.
