University of Limpopo Human Resources Officer: Recruitment and Placement Jobs in South Africa
Requirements:Matric (Grade 12) plus at least a three – year undergraduate Degree or three- year National Diploma in Human Resources Management related field or a related qualification from a recognized university.
Minimum of four (4) years relevant proven working experience in recruitment and placement or within the general human resources field, preferably within the higher education sector.
Experience in the implementation of human resources policies and procedures,
Knowledge and understanding of relevant labour legislation, such as the Labour Relations Act. Employment Equity Act, Basic Conditions of Employment Act, et,
Excellent organisational and communication skills.
Excellent computer literacy.
Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadline
Excellent report writing skills.
Attention to detail.
Knowledge of ITS or human resources employee management software and databases will be a district advantage
Duties:
The successful applications advertised for positions.
Receive and manage application advertised for positions.
Summaries C’V is for easier evaluation by the shortlisting and selection committees.
Schedule and organise short-listing and selection panels and committees.
Develop selection matrixes for use by the selection committee.
Assist the selection committees with relevant, outcomes-based questions during interviews.
Advise the selection committee on the process to the followed in the evaluation of candidates
Write short-listing and selection interview reports.
Conduct reference checks.
Verify the authenticity
of qualifications and relevant documents submitted by applicants.
Write letters of appointment to successful candidates.
Assist successful candidates in the application of work permits (where applicable)
Explain the conditions of service to successful candidates.
Do short induction sessions for new employees.
Process short-term appointments, extensions of appointments promotions, acting appointments, etc.
Ensure that probationary reports for newly appointment employees are received from the line management before the expiry of the probationary period.
