Minimum Requirements

Tertiary qualification in Logistics/ Transportation/Supply Chain Management

Divers license,

2 years minimum experience in a senior supervisory position in the Transport/Warehouse Industry

7 year minimum experience in a supervisory position

Computer literate and with advance skill in MS Excel

Knowledge of NBCRFI Main agreement

SHEQ experience in the Transport/Waehouse Industry

Driven towards achieving production targets and upholding high standards.

Able to communicate with, supervise and motivate employees to achieve targets

Excellent communication skills on all levels

Must be able to work both independently and as part of a team

Analytical, pro-active, organized, innovative

Disciplined and lead by example

Contactable reference for last 2 employers

Previous Supervisory

Previous FMCG industry experience.

Valid Drivers license.

Industrial relations experience.

OHS experience.

Duties & Responsibilities

Be responsible for the overall function and shift performance of the operation. To plan, organise, coordinate and report on the operational activities ensuring that the agreed KPI targets are met. To ensure that the work is performed effectively by those who are held accountable for it.

Ensure that all the controls necessary are in place and maintained.

Be responsible for all stock that is received, stored within the warehouse and then distributed.( , finished goods and packaging

materials).

Dispatch all products to customers according to the daily load plan.

Ensures that employees adhere to safety regulations.

Check all products that are dispatched for damages and replace the damaged products.

Plan the daily dispatches to ensure that the product is ready for dispatch when vehicles arrive to collect.

Checks the validity of forklift operator licences prior to allowing the forklift operator to commence with his shift and takes corrective action where necessary to ensure that the licences are valid at all times.

Ensure the correct product as per the appropriate paper work is dispatched.

Ensure that all relevant documentation is filed according.

Interacts with the Contract Manager on an ongoing basis in order to keep him/her informed of developments in the operation.

Responsible for all reporting of the Shift performance and ensure accurate records of such events are recorded correctly.
