Job DescriptionCoaches and advises staff in solving problems and implementing resolutions for HR related challenges; provides guidance on corrective actions, HR policy interpretation, and other workplace challenges
Develops effective relationships to promote positive employee relations across the organization.
Provides advice for department managers on how to deal with employees, most of all in extraordinary situations
Lead HR employee relation related program, such as Employee Engagement survey,
Participates in and supports the documentation of investigations of workplace complaints and allegations such as discrimination, harassment, retaliation, hostile work environment, and policy violations.
Prepares analysis and recommendations to drive action for stronger employee engagement and retention.
Conducts exit interviews, analyzing trends or opportunities for feedback or improvement particularly in areas related to employee engagement.
Manages relationships with external clients, vendors, partners, and consultants as needed.
Consistently demonstrates and promotes UB’s performance competencies, with special emphasis on building trust and serving others.
Monitors trends in employment practices and advises on appropriate proactive action.
Remains current with Federal, State, and other HR related laws and regulations.
Engages, collaborates, and partners with all levels of
management to resolve issues in a timely manner.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as required.
Job Requirements
Ability to effectively solve problems and make decisions
Excellent skills using MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and HR systems
Good interpersonal, written and oral communication skills for both English and local languages
Ability to present information and bargain with employees and line managers from different levels
Knowledge of effective office management practices and records management techniques.
Ability to meet deadlines and work independently.
High degree of confidentiality and diplomacy
Ability to work at a fast pace and handling multi-tasks when necessary.
Maintains a high level of professionalism in the resolution of employee issues
Ability to work in teams and work under pressure
Solid Research Skills
