Responsibilities
Manage the implementation of the Strategic Framework on Corporate Social Responsibility and Advocacy in China and promote the implementation of Child Rights and Business Principles and tools with business, government, industry bodies, business industry associations and national think tanks.
Advocate for and provide technical assistance to Government and Civil Society Organizations to ensure that children's rights are protected and promoted by the private sector in line with the Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC).
Provide technical inputs and liaise with partners on integration of child rights issues into the national agenda.
In collaboration with relevant section develop CSR strategies for a multi-sectoral CSR engagement and interventions in close alignment with China CO's programmatic priorities and draft MOU's and concept notes as appropriate.
Build capacity of corporate partners in Children's Rights and Business Principles including innovative approaches to support child rights in business.
Update, implement, and monitor the UNICEF China CSR/CRBP Strategy to achieve advocacy impact and programmatic results and develop appropriate annual workplans, knowledge products, and events to support country programme priorities.
Act as a CSR/CRBP focal point in the office. Document and share best practices on CSR among relevant colleagues.
Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor to ensure the success of the section.
Qualifications
An advanced university degree in development, economics, corporate social responsibility, business administration or another related field.
Studies in or solid knowledge of corporate partnership management and corporate social responsibility.
Exceptionally, a bachelor's degree combined with additional professional work experience may be accepted in lieu of an advanced degree.
A minimum of five years of professional experience is required in child rights, CSR, business and human rights, business sustainability or another related field.
Experience from building corporate partnerships, fundraising, marketing, or communication is desirable.
Fluency in English and Chinese is
required.
