Undergraduate Kakamega County Education Fund Loans

The County Government of Kakamega together with the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB) invites application for First Time and Subsequent 2018-2019 Undergraduate Kakamega County Education Fund Loan from the residents of Kakamega County admitted into Government of Kenya-Sponsored or Self-Sponsored Programs in Public or Private Universities in Kenya and the East African Community that are recognized by the Commission for University Education CUE.


Eligible students:]

Students placed by the Kenya Universities and Colleges Placement Service KUUCPS in the local public and private universities Self-Sponsored Students studying for a Bachelor's Degree only Certificate and Diploma students are not eligible

How to Apply

  • Applicants should visit our website to register on the student portal.
  • Log in and select the 2018-2019 Kakamega County First Time or Subsequent Undergraduate Loan Application Form LAF.
  • Ensure that you also apply for the 2018-2019 HELB First Time Undergraduate Loan if you are applying for the first time.
  • Access and fill the application form.
  • Print TWO copies of the duly filled Loan Application Form.
  • Have the forms appropriately filled, signed and stamped by the relevant university authorities.
  • Read, understand and sign to accept the Loan Terms and Conditions.
  • Present one copy of the
    duly filled Loan Application Form and all the attached support documents to the Kakamega County Education Office. Retain one hard copy of the LAF (Mandatory).

    Please ensure that you read, understand and follow the instructions provided at the beginning of the online loan application process. The closing date for the loan application is 30th August 2018.

    ATTENTION:

  • The Kakamega County Education Fund and HELB undergraduate loan application forms are FREE
  • The application forms are only accessible through the HELB student portal
  • DO NOT PAY anyone to process your HELB loan application.
  • In case of any queries, seek assistance ONLY from Kakamega Education Department or HELB officers.
