Standard Minimum Qualifications
Education: Completion of secondary school education. A post-secondary certificate in the related functional area.
Language: Fluency in both oral and written communication in the UN language in use at the duty station and in the duty station’s language, if different.
Organizational Context
These jobs are found in Regional Bureaux (RBs), Country Offices (COs), Area/Field Offices (AOs/FOs). Job holders typically report to a Programme Policy Officer or Head of Field Office.
At this level, job holders are expected to demonstrate responsibility and initiative to respond independently to various queries with only general guidance.
There is a requirement to use judgment in dealing with unforeseen operational problems on a daily basis. Job holders are expected to manage resources and coach and coordinate support staff.
Job Purpose
To provide effective specialized support and technical analysis to Food Assistance for Assets (FFA) activities that effectively meet food assistance needs. This position is to provide maternity leave coverage and may not be extended beyond the contract period.
Key Accountabilities
Receive, review, and prepare clearance documents for invoices received from cooperating partners and coordinate with other units within WFP for timely processing.
In coordination with WFP field offices (FO), prepare payment instructions for beneficiary entitlements in line with the distribution plan; ensure accuracy of monthly cash distribution plans and reports.
Consolidate distribution data from FOs and contribute to preparation of timely reports, M&E working group, and other monitoring coordination.
Lead SCOPE mapping and full digitization of all FFA beneficiaries in coordination with SCOPE and FOs.
Identify opportunities for collaboration with Gender/Protection, Nutrition technical units supporting FOs, planning and provide guidance at field level.
Review and prepare food release notes for the unit's direct area implementation.
Contribute to partner coordination, including field visits, setting up meetings, documentation of action points and follow up.
