Standard Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: An undergraduate or postgraduate degree in any of the following disciplines: Supply Chain, Logistics or any other relevant field.

  • Qualification's must have been obtained within the previous year (2022) or current year (2023) with an academic average of at least 75%.

  • Language: Fluency in both oral and written communication in the UN language in use at the duty station (English) and in the duty station’s language (Swahili).

    Key Accountabilities (not all-inclusive)

  • Provide specialized support to logistics operations and activities, following standard processes and contributing to the
    effective delivery of food assistance to beneficiaries.

  • Coordinate requisitioning of commodities and supplies to authorized partners and destinations.

  • Manage logistics vendors’ contracting activities including performance monitoring and measurement, supported by analysis and recommendations.

  • Gather market intelligence, coordinate vendor assessments (e.g., transporters, retailers) and produce relevant reports to support vendor selection process.

  • Prepare, monitor and revise budget for all delivery modalities, ensuring adherence to relevant procedures and in compliance with corporate standards.

  • Monitor inventory management processes, track trends and account for the inventory status from source to beneficiary.

  • Support oversight for commodity accounting data quality and integrity.

  • Provide comprehensive analyses of operational pipeline and contribute to assessments and operational planning for all delivery modalities.

  • Perform other activities needed.
