UN Women operationalizes this through Flagship Programming Initiatives (FPIs) developed to achieve transformative results for gender equality and women's empowerment.
The FPIs respond to the expanded agenda for Beijing+20 and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The main objective
To Government under international GEWE normative frameworks (CEDAW, Beijing +20 Plan of Action, SDGs, UNSCR 1325) and Gender Responsive Budgeting is to institutionalize gender equality by ensuring that National and local plans and budgets are gender responsive through strengthening the capacity of the MGLSD and other selected MDAs and local governments to, plan, coordinate, monitor and track allocations for GEWE.
Under the overall guidance and leadership of the Country Representative, and under the direct supervision of the Ministry Gender, Labour and Social Development and the Deputy Country Representative UN Women, the Officer for Accountability
