Umba Mobile Automation Tester Jobs in Kenya

Umba is looking for a candidate to manage the QA of our Android App

We are looking for a resourceful and independent person to join our team of software engineers in building a digital banking platform.

Our banking service is delivered via an Android App and Web Based APIs.

Responsibilities

This role will consist of:

Manual testing of the Android App

Setting up Appium and Automated tests for the Android App

Adding to the existing automated API tests (using Tavern - a Python framework)

Improving our QA process and suggesting the methods and tools to increase stability and reduce the time from development to release

A bonus for this role would be:

Knowledge of load testing

Knowledge of penetration testing

Good knowledge of application security and protocols

Load testing

Software engineering

Knowledge of USSD & M-Pesa

Skills and Qualifications

Must have:

4+ years Testing Types API Testing, Automated Testing, Database Testing, Manual Testing, Mobile App Testing, Appium

Programming Languages: Kotlin, Python

Databases: PostgreSQL

Nice to have:

Degree in computer engineering

Familiarity with tech-enabled credit or payments products and the general fintech landscape

Experience working with remote teams
