Uganda Red Cross Society Focal Person – E- Recruitment of Blood Donors Jobs
Background Uganda Red Cross Society - Blood Donor Recruitment program in partnership with the Empress Shoken Fund of the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Society is widening the program scope to introduce E-recruitment of adult blood donors to sustainably manage the seasonal blood shortages during school holidays.
Uganda Red Cross Society is looking for a vibrant, dynamic and experienced professional to grow this initiative.
Job Purpose:
The Focal Person, E-Recruitment will be responsible for managing the Mobile Blood Donor Application supporting the digital ecosystems and updating smart phone applications.
He/ she will be responsible for creating content and updating online information via smart phone, web and social media applications.
He/ She will be responsible for increasing the number of adult blood donors enrolling on the blood donor Application.
Key Responsibilities
Any other relevant emerging tasks as agreed with the supervisor.
To work towards the achievement of overall goals of the Uganda Red Cross Society through effective managerial and lateral relations;
To ensure understanding of roles, responsibilities, lateral relations and accountabilities;
Develop, coordinate and implement blood donor app marketing programs and activation to create awareness on E- Recruitment of adult blood donors.
Planning blood donor digital marketing campaigns, including web, SEO/SEM, email, social media and display advertising.
Set targets for blood donor logins, membership acquisition and usage of the blood donor App
Publicize blood donation drives / camps in close cooperation with UBTS;
Measuring and reporting on the performance of all digital marketing campaigns
Identify, train and work
with Branch Managers and volunteers at Red Cross branches to ensure that content on the Blood Donor App reaches the potential blood donors through appropriate channels.
Establish networking opportunities and third-party partnerships for blood donor recruitment using the Blood donor application
Create an online data base for blood donors with interactive platforms and feedback mechanisms
Manage escalations of technical issues appropriately to next level of technical support or leadership, as required.
Ensure timely submission of regional data and activity reports and accountabilities on quarterly and annual basis;
Education Qualifications
Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or a related field from a reputable institution.
Professional qualification in CCNA or CCNC from a reputable institution is an added advantage
Working Experience
Minimum 2 years’ experience in digital marketing and SEO experience.
Demonstrated experience driving user adoption and engagement with digital applications.
Core Competencies and Knowledge
High level of integrity.
Ability to deal sensitively and discreetly with people and information to maintain confidentiality.
Commitment to URCS values and principles.
