Responsibilities
Follow up on budget utilization and prepare monthly budget monitoring and utilization reports for review. To report on analyses, variances, causes and propose actions to be taken to address them.
Verify authenticity of accountability documents and process financial transactions in line with URCS policies, International Accounting Standards, statutory requirements and donor requirements.
Monitor working advance balances and follow-up to ensure all working advances are accounted for in accordance with URCS guidelines.
Reconcile staff debtor and creditor balances and other balance sheet codes and ensure that these balances are kept at the lowest possible level.
Ensure reconciliations of receivable and accounts payables every end of month.
Provide on job training to new staff as directed by the supervisors.
Ensure proper filing of all accountability documents.
Qualifications
Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or a finance related field from a recognized institution;
At least level two of ACCA or CPA
Minimum of at least 3 years relevant work experience in a similar position in a donor funded institution;
Profound work experience in the application of an accounting software;
Prior experience of NAVISION accounting software is an added advantage

Uganda Red Cross Restoration of Family Links (RFL) Focal Person Jobs Opportunities
Responsibilities
Prepare and submit personal work plans for activities to the RFL Programme Management and Branch Manager;
Ensure that clients requesting for Red Cross Restoring Family Links Services are adequately informed about the existing services;
Ensure that the RFL phone services are available for clients in need;
Ensure that the RFL phone service is well monitored and guidelines adhered to;
With support of the URCS teams, conduct RFL dissemination to targeted audiences;
Receive, collect and deliver Red Cross Messages (RCMs) within the Settlement or where requested outside of the settlement;
With notice of the Programme Management, participate at only Child protection meetings at settlement level;
Submit weekly statistics to the Programme Officer and Branch manager for internal reporting and a detailed report at the end of the month;
Regularly follow up all existing RFL caseloads within the Settlement;
Update the individual RFL activity monitoring tools at the settlement level;
Identify and conduct registration and follow up of Unaccompanied Minors;
Provide psycho-social support to clients seeking RFL services;
Ensure proper and safe custody for all assets received for the discharge of RFL services;
Carry out emergency tracing services whenever called upon;
Handle other duties as assigned by the RFL Programme Management or Branch Manager
Qualifications
Minimum Bachelors’ Degree in Social Sciences, Education, Organizational Psychology, Human Resource Management, Law or a related field from a reputable institute or a Diploma BUT with 3 years’ experience in Restoration of Family Links
Knowledge of the local languages in the communities of operation is an asset to the potential candidates;
Knowledge and experience of at 6 Months in Restoration of Family Links is an added advantage

Uganda Red Cross Officer - Community Based Surveillance – CP3 Program Jobs Opportunities
Responsibilities
Implementation of CBS
for disease outbreak in the branch and selected communities of implementation CP3 in line program work plans;
Ensure that surveillance guidelines, protocols and monitoring systems are adhered to by the volunteers for efficient data collection, correlation, analysis, interpretation for timely reporting and dissemination of information/alerts on disease out brakes;
Work with branch manager, volunteers and communities to formulate functional health emergency response teams for early warning for epidemic and pandemic- prone communities in the branch for early detection and response to potential hazards to infectious human and Zoonotic diseases;
Provide technical support to build capacity of branch volunteers and communities for preparedness for early detection and early action to mitigate impact epidemic and pandemic outbreaks;
Work with ‘One Health initiative to build synergies in the branch and communities to ensure that CBS and health information systems for epidemic and pandemics preparedness interventions for both environmental and animal sectors are harmonized;
Support the branch and communities in emergency preparedness initiatives and contingency planning to respond to disasters and others health emergencies;
Work with civil society, the media and health facilities in the catchment area to institute mechanism for disease outbreak surveillance.
Prepare periodic activity reports- weekly, monthly, quarterly in line with program work plan and donor requirements;
Perform any other incident-specific duties assigned to you, as may be required by the functional supervisor.
Qualifications
Minimum Bachelors’ in Human Medicine and surgery or Veterinary Medicine/Science from a reputable institution;
Post Graduate qualification in Public Health, Epidemiology, Health information Management systems or public management of communicable diseases will be an added advantage;
Minimum 2 years related experience, at the regional level in implementation of public health surveillance, outbreak investigation and response.
Previous experience in implementation of Integrated Disease Surveillance and Response (IDSR) is a plus;
Working experience at field level with recognized Organization with expertise in health and emergencies response;
Experience in implementation of projects in mult-stakeholders environment.

Uganda Red Cross Branch Manager Jobs Opportunities
Responsibilities
Implementation of the URCS Strategic Option Strengthen Branch Membership Management;
Disseminate and implement all the URCS approved policies;
Adhere and lead the implementation of the URCS approved systems and structures at the Branch level;
Plan for, Coordinate and lead the implementation of membership recruitment campaigns;
Lead the Branch resource mobilization, and design plans for sustainability of the Branch;
Identify, engage, develop and maintain Branch and institutional partnerships relevant to the growth of URCS;
Implement a robust volunteer management framework at the Branch in order to attract and retain value-adding volunteers to the Society;
Provide technical and operational guidance to the Branch governance in harmony with URCS constitution and other policies;
Qualifications
Minimum Bachelors’ Degree in Social Sciences, Education, Organizational Psychology, Human Resource Management, Law or a related field from a reputable institute;
Post Graduate or Pre-Graduate Diploma in Water Engineering, Civil Engineering or a related field will be an added advantage;
At least 3 years’ experience managing organizational Branch structures preferably with membership based organizations;
Previous work experience with large international or national humanitarian agency level preferably with governance structures;
Experience in Youth and Volunteer Management;
Experience in Marketing and Resource Mobilization.
Experience in managing volunteers and membership based organizations will be of added advantage
