Uganda Olympic Committee Project Communication and Branding Officer Jobs

Uganda Olympic Committee (UOC) is a growing sports organization based in Kampala that offers its employees the excellent learning and working environment with great opportunities.

We are an agent of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and Commonwealth Games Federation (CGF) in Uganda to uphold and promote Olympic and Commonwealth ideals to its affiliates and stakeholders by providing support, guiding policy, and delivering programmes through its organs and structures.

Responsibilities

Develop content for the print, virtual and broadcast media.

Guide project staff on their promotional and visibility materials ensuring the UOC guidelines and policies are followed

Participate in the planning, organization, roll out and reporting on key events such as the Annual events and take lead on all aspects of visibility, communication and potentially media engagement for these events.

Regularly go out to the project activities to collect and write stories and support project staff to write stories

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism

Background in communication and branding

Worked in a refugee environment before

Some sports background and knowledge
