Uganda National Bureau of Standards Standards Officers Jobs in Uganda

The Standards Officers will mainly provide standardization activities to UNBS stakeholders and the successful candidates shall be required to perform the following duties;

Develop, implement and enforce National Standards as guided by UNBS Act, regulations and procedures

Offer technical and scientific input in the planning and operations of UNBS standardization programmes

Conduct stakeholder analysis and incorporate requirements in the work programmes in consultation with the supervisors

Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly and annual reports

Conduct any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisors or management.

Qualifications and Other Requirements

Honours Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Textile Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Textile Engineering, Food Science and Technology, Chemistry and Physics, from a recognized University/Institution

The applicants must be computer literate with skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Internet applications.

At least two years’ post-graduation experience

The successful candidates need to be team players, excellent communicators with good oral communication and presentation skills.

Age: Between 25 and 35 years
