Position: Mason (1 Position) Ext AD 25/4/2023

Duty Station: Main Campus – Nkozi

Reports to: Estates Manager

Qualifications and Experience:

The candidate should have Junior cert. Craft part I. Craft II Advanced is an added advantage obtained from a recognised Institution.

S/he should have prior experience for at least five years in a similar position or other related positions in a reputable Institution.

S/he should be able to carry out repairs with helpers, support other UMU Campuses in line with the given program objectives and UMU standards, Build simple structures as when the need arises, Paint buildings regularly, Participate in Fumigation process.

This position requires strong interpersonal skills, satisfactory record of service to the community and high degree of integrity.

Position: Plumber (1 Position) Ext AD 26/4/2023

Duty Station: Main Campus – Nkozi

Reports to: Estates Manager

Qualifications and Experience:

Three years’ experience working in a reputable organization

Someone poses a diploma in water engineering

Having plumbing certificate is an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

Installing and maintaining of

the plumbing system of the University.

Repairing the damaged plumbing system.

Testing pipe systems and fix leaks.

Installing other plumbing equipment such as sinks, tabs, toilets, water heaters, air conditioners, appliances and trim.

Repairing and maintaining water treatment equipment.

Making sure that the University has water supply network and water drainage systems.

Recommending on all the materials to be in the plumbing systems.

Fitting domestic appliances.

Fitting bathrooms.

Emergence repairs.

To carry out other duties as may be assigned by relevant University authority.
