Job Summary:

To head and develop the Learning and growth in the Company and be a key lead for learning and
development endeavors of the Company

Key Responsibilities:

Brief description of duties or the responsibilities for the job

  • Develop and implement the Learning and Development strategy

  • Manage the talent management framework

  • Design training methodology for the business

  • Manage the competence framework

  • Conduct returns on investment for Learning and development initiatives

  • Develop and manage annual budgets for the training unit.

  • Design and offer suggestions for materials development and modification.

  • Implementation and supervision of training programmes.

  • Develop training needs analysis programmes and ensure training needs are effectively identified and appropriate training solutions delivered.

  • Draft training guidelines/policies and review existing ones.

  • Deliver /facilitate training for staff members of UEGCL at different levels using relevant training materials.

  • Acquire audio/visual aids and training materials for the unit.

  • Coordinate workshops, seminars, and courses initiated or hosted by UEGCL.

  • Analyze program results to enhance training effectiveness

  • Work with the Chief Human Resource Officer to determine HR plans that have a direct bearing on
    capacity building i.e. recruitment, promotion etc and plan for necessary intervention.

    Education and Professional Requirements:

    The minimum education level required to perform this job.

    • A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management.

    • A Master’s degree in Business Administration or Human Resource Management or organization
    psychology.

    Related Job Experience:

    The experience required to perform this job

    • At least 7 years’ senior level management experience with a large workforce in a busy and dynamic HR department
