Uganda Communications Commission Officer - CERT Jobs in Uganda

Job Purpose

To provide support in the execution, assessment & monitoring tasks in relation to CERT operations

Primary Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Manage the CERT Uganda Help Desk and raise tickets for all confirmed probable incidents;
  • Conduct risk assessment and security analysis on the reported incidents;
  • Respond and provide support to the CERT Uganda Constituents;
  • Produce periodic or ad hoc reports of high quality for incidents, security threats and vulnerabilities;
  • Develop training modules and technical documentation;
  • Conduct knowledge sharing sessions among other technical personnel on lessons learned and new findings; and
  • Ensure compliance with all CERT.UG's policies, procedures, and guidelines

    Education & Professional Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/ ICT/ Engineering (Electronics, Telecommunications, Computer) or a related field; and
  • Professional certification in any related field such as ICT security, CISSP/ GCIA/ GCFA/ CEH/ CISA/ CISM is an added advantage;

    Working Experience
  • Two (2) years of working experience in Information security or relevant field in a similar corporate setting
