Qualification

  • MBChB Degree or its equivalent from a recognized University or Institution.

  • Post graduate qualification in Public Health.

  • A Postgraduate qualification in a Clinical Discipline

  • A Postgraduate qualification in Health Services Management

    Experience Details

  • At least six (6) years of professional experience, three (3) of which should have been at Senior Officer level.

    Key Competences required for the post

  • Should have strong management, communication and interpersonal skills.

    Key Duties of the Post/Key Results Areas

  • Participate in the development of healthcare standards and policy.

  • Implement plans and strategies related to standards and accreditation

  • Implement and monitor implementation of the unit budget.

  • Conduct appropriate research.

  • Maintain stakeholder relations.

  • Contribute to preparation and submission of periodic standards and accreditation performance reports.

  • Support plans for mobilization of resources for standards and accreditation activities.

  • Support the review and implementation of standards and accreditation capacity building interventions

  • Support development and management of information systems for standards and accreditation.

  • Supervise, develop, and appraise staff.

  • Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
