Uganda Airlines Technical Assistants - Groomers Jobs in Uganda

Job purpose

The Technical Assistant reports to the Line Maintenance Engineer and provides a support role to the Technicians and/or certifying engineers during maintenance and often assigned to clean, servicing under supervision and arranging tooling & ground equipment, and cleaning of the maintenance facilities.

They have a duty for identifying and reporting all safety hazards and deficiencies.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • External Aircraft Cleaning and deep cabin cleaning.
  • Cleaning of Tooling and Equipment
  • The positioning of maintenance support equipment such as access platforms, fire extinguishers,
  • Supports the ground team in regards to aircraft technical ground handling, e.g. positioning of chocks, wing walking and cones to define the safety zones
  • Identifying hazards in the maintenance environment and reporting to the supervisor
  • Any other duties as may be assigned by the line maintenance engineer and/or technician

    Qualifications and Competencies
  • UACE or prior working experience in a maintenance setting or aviation technical environment.
