Market Research Assistant Vacancy

Twiga Foods is looking for suitable candidates to fill the position of a Market Research Assistant. the role holder will be accountable for collecting necessary data and insights from the field that help the business make informed decisions on the markets and product value chains. This role meets the increasing business needs in collecting market intelligence data.

Key Responsibilities

Data Collection and Reporting

Collect and report daily FFV product prices from assigned wholesale market(s).

Acquire and maintain an up-to date list of market informants for both FFV and FMCG prices.

Conduct weekly product sampling exercises.

Collect and report FMCG prices at a specified frequency from assigned area(s)/wholesaler(s).

Conduct baseline surveys for new and existing products and compile reports as required by the business.

Conduct any other periodic or ad-hoc market surveys and compile reports as required by the business.

Assist the Market Intelligence Analyst in designing and driving results for market research projects, collecting data

from the field, and preparing reports.

Self-Management

Model Twiga’s culture and way of working and inculcating this within the team.

Deliver the performance objectives. Participate in monthly 1-on-1 performance reviews with line manager, and institute corrective action where performance falls below expectation.

Proactively manage own learning and development

Adhere to the annual leave plan agreed with the line manager

Adhere to people management polices

Compliance

Comply with all organization policies, procedures, and statutory guidelines. Minimize and mitigate risks to the organization and enforce zero-tolerance to non-compliance.

Close gaps/lapses identified as an outcome of audits; risk and/or any other compliance review; investigations; or other assessment mechanisms and take corrective/preventive actions within the agreed timelines.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

Have a Certificate / Diploma / Post-secondary education qualification in Marketing, Business, Sales, or a related field.

Have a valid certificate of good conduct.
