Main Purpose of the RoleContributes to the development and implementation of the departmental accounting systems, policies and procedures.
Reconciliation and reporting of financial data, verifying the validity, completeness and accuracy of source documentation, and ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial information.
In addition, this role will need to ensure statutory compliance, produce the yearend audit file and work with the local teams for budgetary controls.

Principle Accountabilities
Preparation of all month end journals, including depreciation, prepayments, provisions and accruals
Reconciliation of the monthly payroll and resolution of queries.
Timely, accurate completion of the monthly financial close
Ensure all balance sheet accounts are reconciled and signed off on a monthly basis to month end deadlines
Production of monthly financial and management reports and analysis, with commentary for errors; make any appropriate corrections if needed
File all tax & fiscal requirements within statutory deadlines (PAYE,
VAT, RVAT, Annual PAYE returns, Income tax returns, WHT and other)
Monitor local cash flows
Communicate suggestions for increased efficiency within the department and/or organization
Assist in the development and training of finance team members
Follow company policies and procedures
Assist the Financial Controller as required
Complete all other ad hoc tasks as assigned
Job Requirements
Minimum Required Qualification
Professional accounting Qualification - ACCA
Minimum Required Work Experience
Minimum of five years financial accounting experience gained in a multi-currency international based Company is essential
Thorough understanding of the Ethiopian Tax Legislation
Knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly
Intermediate Excel
ERP System experience
IFRS experience is recommended
