  • Tsebo International are in search of a very capable and experienced Camp Manager to run Camp operations in the Palma area.

  • You will be responsible for ensuring that Tsebo standards of performance are maintained.

  • You will develop operational efficiency and source new business opportunities in this position.

    Duties & Responsibilities

  • As the Camp Manager you will oversee the Projects performance to the scope of work as defined with the client.

  • Upon arrival on site this will be set and agreed in writing with the Camp Managers supervisor.

  • You will be accountable for the project achieving the specified standards of performance in all areas of the Projects Operations.

    • Overseeing the project budget to ensure that the scope of work is achieved

    • Manage all aspects of the projects stock control function including spot checking stock records for accuracy.

    • Ensure that the project conforms to Tsebo and Client’s Health and Safety and Environmental Polices. This includes ensuring that HSE records are kept at all times, Tsebo camp/Project completes all the relevant Project Paper work, auditing and employee training as per our Company Polices. This includes weekly audits to ensure that all HSE regulations are adhered.

    • Manage the accommodation, Food Services Management, the Bar and Restaurant within the project including the cleaning services in the offices, public areas, accommodation units & in any other place that ATS is contracted to work in.

    • Manage special functions that Tsebo might be called to manage

    • Camp Manager will ensure that all expenses have corresponding signed valid receipts and supporting paperwork including any necessary valid Tax/VAT receipts for the expenses made.

    • Oversee all the invoices issued by the project, ensuring they confirm to client and Tsebo requirements

    • Manage the Public Relations
    within the project and this includes the client, client’s employees, client’s superiors, client’s visitors and investors and the families and people living within the project.

    • Manage and follow up on any repairs required to ensure they are completed.

  • The Camp manager will oversee people Management within his project. You must ensure the project delivers the stated project scope of work, to the agreed budget and develops his team accordingly.

    Qualifications

    • A minimum of a Certificate/Diploma or Degree in any Hospitality related field or any equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform job duties may be considered.

    • Professional Qualification in Project Management will be an added advantage.

    • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Camp Manager or equivalent role in a similar remote camp environment.

    • Knowledge of business management principles, including proven financial skills and knowledge of legislation, standards and best practice relevant to the industry e.g. must have good understanding of HACCP/Health and safety standards.

    • Strong banqueting/function background & handling of VIP guests or experience in upmarket functions and events management.

    • Previous experience in the food service industry is essential and experience in high quality mass production.

    • Experience working with a diverse team.

    • Knowledge computer skills, using office software such as Excel, Word and Power Point.
