TSC Assistant Director (HRM) Jobs in Kenya

For appointment to this grade an officer must have: -

Served in the grade of Principal Human Resource Officer for a minimum period of three (3) years or in a comparable position for a minimum continuous period of nine (9) years;

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management; OR Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences plus a Diploma in Human Resource Management;

Master’s degree in any of the following disciplines: Human Resource Management, Business Administration or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;

Certificate in Senior Management Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution;

Met the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution;

Certificate in computer applications skills; and

Demonstrated merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.

Duties and responsibilities will entail: -

Analyzing and controlling staff establishment;
carrying out work load analysis;

Transferring and deploying secretariat staff;

Monitoring and evaluating work performance;

Supervising and conducting staff performance appraisal in the Division;

Updating succession management plan;

Managing staff leave;

Managing employee separation process;

Managing payroll and employee remuneration;

Designing, revising and administering Career Progression Guidelines;

Providing technical advice to teachers, secretariat and other stakeholders on HR related issues; and

Mentoring and coaching staff within the Division
