Responsibilities

To perform general accounting & other related duties in the accounting department

Prepare periodic (monthly) balance sheets, income statements, & profit & loss statements

Maintain the general ledger

Code invoices, set up new accounts, reconcile accounts & close the monthly books

Reconcile bank accounts monthly, verify deposits & address inquiries from banks

Reconcile customer accounts & manage accounts receivable collections

Verify payment of invoices associated with accounts payable & ensure payments are charged to the appropriate accounts

Provide auditors with assistance; gathers necessary account information & documents to perform annual audit

File required tax forms & other financial obligations

To initiate & manage the accounting software used by the organization & recommend updates to enhance the accounting software

Other duties as may be assigned.

Requirements

HND / Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or any other related field (A post-graduate Degree will be an advantage)

A minimum of 4 years related accounting work experience

28 35 years

ACA/ACCA qualification, or progressive advancement in ICAN examination is an advantage

Relevant experience in FMCG/Trading organizations
