The County Government of Trans Nzoia wishes to recruit competent and qualified persons to fill the following positions, pursuant to Article 235 of the Constitution of Kenya 2010 and Sections 57. 58.59& 63 of the County Government Act, 2012.
Chairperson of the County Public Service Board
Duties and Responsibilities
Performing duties and responsibilities as outlined in section 59 of the County Government Act no.17 of 2012 and other relevant legal provisions.
Chair all Board meetings.
Ensure that Board operates within the law.
Being the spokesperson of the Board.
Monitor and Evaluate performance of Board members and the Secretary.
Establishing agenda for the Board meeting in consultation with the Board Secretary.
Ensuring the Boards and County Executive decisions are implemented.
Academic Qualification and attributes
A Bachelor's Degree from a University Recognized in Kenya.
A Master's Degree in any of the following fields: Business Administration, Human Resource Management or Social Sciences from a University recognized in Kenya will be an added advantage.
Working Experience of at least to (10) years in administration and management.
Professional competence and managerial capabilities; and clear understanding of national goals, values and principles of governance.
Satisfies the provisions of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010 on Leadership and integrity
Should not be a state or public officer.
Be visionary and a strategic thinker
Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
Be a Kenyan citizen.
Terms of service
Six (6) years non-renewable contract Salaries and other allowances: Payable as per Salaries and Remuneration Commission guidelines.

must obtain the following:- Tax compliance certificate from Kenya Revenue Authority
Clearance certificate from the Higher Education Loans Board Clearance certificate from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission Clearance from the Credit Reference Bureau Certificate of Good Conduct from Criminal Investigations Department.
Copies of these certificates Must be attached to the applications.

All applications should be in hard copy and delivered to the office of The County Secretary at The County Headquarters ( town hall) next to Kitale Law Courts, Kitale Town on/or before 17th May ,2019.
Shortlisted candidates will be required to produce the Original National Identity Card, Academic and Professional Certificates and Testimonials.
