TPO Uganda is a local Ugandan NGO that has been operating in the country for 25 years. Our programs comprise interventions organised around the following themes: Care and protection of ovc, child protection, livelihoods support, mental health and psychosocial support response and prevention of all forms of violence against women and children as well as emergency response and humanitarian action.

TPO Uganda is active in 33 districts in the country and is a member of several partnerships and coordination mechanisms in the country TPO Uganda is now seeking applications for the following positions for a prospective transition award by USAID.

All positions will be based in our Mbarara regional offices and candidates must be willing and ready to live and work in the region.

Position: Information Communications Technology Officer 05/1CT/Nov.19

Reporting to: Director Knowledge Management and Innovations

[Location: Kampala

The IT Officer will ensure the existence of an appropriate and functional hardware / software technology infrastructure to facilitate communications on TPO UG activities, access to information on organisational services /events and programme update by stakeholders.

S/he will support deployment of up-to-date hardware and software technology platforms in alignment with organisation needs and will ensure seamless messaging and communication.
S/he will private support to administer backup systems to ensure secure, accussible communications and data resources to all users.

Person Specification

Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science plus CCNA MCSA

Postgraduate training in software engineering/networking database

Administration

S/he must have at least 3 years' experience in IT administration and Support

S/he must have knowledge of networking protocols

S/he must have the ability to lead and train teams, excellent communication skills and strong troubleshooting skills

Job Education Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree
