Job DescriptionThis position is part of the Industrial Direction of TotalEnergies Renewables International, a subsidiary dedicated to the development, construction and operation of large-scale ground-mounted renewable power plants and storage projects.
The team is based in Paris and works in conjunction with local teams (US, India, UAE, Japan, Chile, South Africa, Europe, etc.).
TotalEnergies targets 35 GW of renewable generation capacity in 2025 and will continue to expand its business to become a leading international player in renewable energies with a target of 100 GW by 2030 based on its renewable network localized in more than 65 countries.
This position deals with solar and onshore wind projects. The unit size of the solar projects developed is generally between 100 MW and 1000 MW. Some projects will have a high level of hybridization, whether storage and soon hydrogen.
As a Lead Planning, your missions are:
Support the development team in the preparation of the technical approval and industrial de-risking of a project in a complex environment
During execution phase, support the execution team in building and approving the baseline schedule, and implementing accurate project control tools
During projects, development, execution and operations phases, support development teams in design and implementation:
Deployment of methods, tools and best practices in project schedule for development and execution phases, in line with the Group and industry HSE and quality standards,
Assess the overall project delay risk and propose the mitigation actions
During development phase, independently create (gathering the different inputs from the involved stakeholders, investigating and incorporating project constraints and contractual requirements), review and/or analyze development and execution schedules in an efficient and comprehensive manner to support the development team, gathering the different inputs from the involved stakeholders.
During execution phase, support the execution team in the assessment of actual project schedule, based on the analysis of main contractors and suppliers schedule reports, and propose solutions to mitigate delay’s risk and/or enforce acceleration opportunities.
Support execution team in case of delays, claims, and/or EoT situations
Act as a referent in methods related to schedule control, leads Scheduler’s community within the different geographical hubs, capitalizing lessons learnt and promoting best practices. Participates and/or contribute to the Project Execution Review
Candidate profile
Engineering university degree at a master level,
Strong Project Control exposure and culture. PMP certification a plus.
Project Scheduler experience for a minimum of 5 years, with projects based on Primavera Scheduling Software (P6). Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Powerpoint, Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Project…
Strong capabilities in building / analyzing schedule in P6 as well as in MSP
Strong understanding of schedule delay principles and techniques. Understand and asses the Critical Path Method of scheduling and how it applies in projects as well as its relations with contractual clauses (EPC contract, equipment supply contracts).
Understand principles of cost estimating and productivity in establishing schedule parameters (durations, cost and resource loading, etc.).
Understanding of Incoterm 2020.
Industry: large PV (> 100 MWp) experience is a must, experience in windpower, hybrid, storage and/or thermal projects will be strongly valued.
Good knowledge of EPC Contractor schemes in order to support and potentially drive complex and challenging EPC structures, O&M Contract knowledge will be valued ; Experience as an EPC contractor planner is a plus.
Fluency in English is necessary, French is a strong plus.
