The Idea

Healthcare providers are provided with support to unlearn negative attitudes and stigma attached to the sexuality of women with disabilities, and treat women with disabilities with dignity and ensure sexual reproductive health rights information and services are available, accessible and affordable to them.

As a result, public health facilities management and personnel are better equipped to ensure an accessible environment to women with disabilities seeking sexual reproductive health rights services. Additionally, the program facilitates the establishment of a network of trained disability rights champions.

Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Implementation:

  • Develop a detailed project plan for healthcare providers training programs, on the Skills platform, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and healthcare standards.

  • Implement and oversee all aspects of the training project, including curriculum development, scheduling, and logistics.

    Skills eLearning Curriculum strengthening:

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to improve the design and develop comprehensive eLearning curricula for healthcare providers.

  • Ensure that Skills eLearning materials align with the latest evidence-based practices and healthcare guidelines.

    Skills Learning Management System (LMS) Management:

  • Oversee the implementation and management of the Skills Learning Management System used for healthcare providers course in collaboration with the IT Officer.

  • Ensure the Skills LMS is user-friendly, accessible, and supports the delivery of diverse learning resources.

    Training Content Creation:

  • Work in collaboration with the Media Officer to create engaging multimedia content, including videos, interactive modules, and assessments, to enhance the effectiveness of eLearning programs.

  • Coordinate with graphic designers, content creators, and multimedia specialists as needed.

    Needs Assessment:

  • Conduct baseline needs assessment to identify emerging training needs among healthcare workers.

  • Use data to adapt and update eLearning content to address evolving challenges in the healthcare sector.

    Training Delivery:

  • Coordinate and facilitate training sessions for healthcare providers, utilizing a variety of teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles.

  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training sessions and make necessary adjustments for continuous improvement.

    Technical Support:

  • Provide technical support to healthcare providers participating in the Skills eLearning program, addressing
    issues related to platform access, navigation, and content consumption.

  • Collaborate with the IT Officer to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly.

    Monitoring and Evaluation:

  • Implement a robust monitoring and evaluation framework to assess the impact of the healthcare provider course.

  • Collect and analyze data on learner progress, engagement, and satisfaction to inform continuous improvement.

    Capacity Building:

  • Develop strategies to build the digital literacy and eLearning capacity of healthcare providers..

  • Provide guidance and support to healthcare providers to ensure successful participation in eLearning activities.

    Collaboration and Networking:

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including educational institutions, to enhance the quality and reach of eLearning initiatives.

  • Explore opportunities for partnerships with key stakeholders to expand the scope of healthcare providers eLearning programs.

    Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain detailed records of the healthcare providers course including eLearning activities, learner achievements, and feedback.

  • Prepare and submit regular reports to internal and external stakeholders, summarizing key accomplishments and challenges.

    Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., instructional design, education technology, healthcare management).

  • Proven experience in designing and implementing eLearning training programs, preferably in the field of sexual reproductive health rights

  • Previous experience in Disability Rights and Inclusion, and working with women with disabilities

  • Knowledge of the local Kenyan Context

  • Strong understanding of sexual reproductive health rights issues and related policies.

  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems and multimedia content creation tools.

  • Strong technical and troubleshooting skills.

  • Excellent communication, collaboration and networking skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
