LWF has worked in Uganda to empower communities to achieve their Lull potential, claim their universal rights, meet their basic needs and improve their The national headquarters, based in Kampala, oversee the overall management of Sub-program responsible for the implementation of humanitarian and development protects across the country. LWF-Uganda implements various Initiatives aimed at empowering the targeted beneficiaries I both refugees and nationals) in the profane impotent areas to take control of their development and strengthen their economic prospects. Thew Initiatives cut across different sectors like WASH, Livelihoods, Protection, Food Security, Health and Education. These initiatives are implemented across LWF Sub program locations in the S0 respective districts I.e. genital% Larnwo, Omuta% Adjumani, tuuka, Knew% Paden and MoVO. Gender based violence (GBV) Is a significant problem In Uganda — among-st both refugee and host communities. Efforts to explore its magnitude and scope can suppers government and humanitarian stakeholders to better address GeV, by providing information on trends and forms of violence as well as associated divers and risk factors. In response to the need for such data, a Research Team from Makerere University School of Public Health, Lutheran World Federation (LWPI and the Global Women's Institute (GWI) at the George Washington University plan to implement a mined LWF/UG/004/2019 - methods study to better understand experiences of GBV among-st women and girds living in refugee and host populations in two sites in West Nile, Uganda.
