The Kenya High School invites applications for the following vacant posts to be recruited by the School’s Board of Management; All positions require individual with excellent P. R., high level of confidentiality, honesty, integrity, meets deadlines, ready to work under minimal supervision.

Matron
Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be required;

To ensure that there is a clean and pleasant environment in the House throughout which involves line managing and directing cleaners both inside and outside the hostel

Be a point of contact with parents and will be required to be able to liaise with parents and take messages for the Administration

Be a major source of awareness of poor students behaviour and be ready to alert the Administration regarding areas of concern

During the academic year, there are a number of House social events, which the Matron
may be required to organize and attend.

Monitor the students’ daily routines (including punctuality, meal attendance, diet etc), and work with the Senior Matron and Boarding Mistress to help pupils meet expected school

Ensure students are correctly turned out and smart when leaving the House

Assess illness and injuries and to refer to the Nurse all medical matters.

Report and follow up unsatisfactory levels of repair either inside or outside the House

To be responsible for the care of hostel’s

facilities, equipment and laundry

Requirements & Qualifications

Retired Teachers/ Head Teachers are highly preferred

Must be available to reside in school, work in a busy day/ night schedules, spend the nights at school all through during school term

Diploma or certificate in Housekeeping and or counselling

Computer Literate

Experience working with students / Teenagers will be a definite advantage.
