The Institution of Engineers of Kenya - Call for Papers

The Institution of Engineers of Kenya in collaboration with the Engineers Board of Kenya are organizing the 26th edition of the Institution of Engineers of Kenya International Conference to be held at Leisure Lodge, Mombasa from Tuesday 17th to Friday 21st September 2019.

The theme of the conference is "Overcoming The 21st Century Challenges: Implementing sustainable regional and local development agendas taking into account global best practices".

The event will feature comprehensive technical programs with distinguished keynote speakers and a vibrant social program.

The organizing committee therefore invites you to submit a 200 word abstract of your original paper on the under listed topics or closely related areas.

If your abstract is accepted then you will be invited to submit a 5-page paper.

The Sub-themes for the Conference Are:

  • Funding and contracting strategies that promote local content
  • Global best practices in Procurement strategies
  • Enhancing capacity building
  • Impacts of existing Legal and regulatory framework
  • Promoting ethical behavior
  • Compliance with United Nations Sustainable development goals
  • Alignment with Africa Union 2063
  • Implementing Kenya's Vision 2030 and Big 4 Agenda
  • Smart cities and artificial intelligence

    Deadline for abstract reception: 30th June ,2019.

  • Decision for acceptance/Rejection: 15th July 2019.
  • Submission of final paper: 31st July ,2019

    Continuous Professional Development:

  • Members of the Institution of Engineers of Kenya will earn 25 (twenty five)
  • Professional Development Units (PDUs) for attending the conference and an additional 10 (ten) for presenting a paper.
  • Members of the Institution of Engineers of Kenya will earn 25 (twenty five)

    National Delegates Kenya Shillings 35,000/= Kenya Shillings 40,000/= 2 International
