The Aga Khan Academy, Mombasa is an International Baccalaureate World School that seeks to provide students of all backgrounds from primary to higher secondary with an education of the highest standard in order to prepare them for lives characterized by leadership and service.

The Vice Principal; Diploma will support the central purpose of promoting student learning & contribute to the development of students intellectually, socially, spiritually, and athletically

Responsibilities:

  • Provide reports on achievements, developments, trends and issues in the IB Diploma Programme
  • Responsible for the overall tone, behaviour and IB academic achievement of the Diploma cohort
  • Oversight of College Counselling, and all IBDP programmes including CAS, Extended Essay and Theory of Knowledge
  • Responsible for external Diploma IB examinations & administrative Diploma returns to the IB
  • Responsible for the content, programme and effective controlling of all DP assemblies

    Requirements

  • Bachelor of Education
  • IB or other workshop leader trainer
  • Prior experience in an IB school leadership role for 3 years
  • Ability to engage faculty members & bolster academic attainment at the Diploma Programme
