Tetu Aberdare Water and Sanitation Company is mandated to provide water and
sanitation services in Tetu Sub County.

To strengthen our management team and
ensure continued success and growth, the company is inviting application from highly
competent and experienced individuals who are proactive and self-driven to fill the
following posts.

The position of a Commercial Manager and Internal Auditor are on three years performance renewable contract while that of a driver is on permanent basis.

Commercial Manager

Job Purpose

  • The Commercial Manager is responsible for the commercial function and Business Development Strategy of the Company
  • Reporting relationship
  • This role reports to the Managing Director

    Supervises

  • Commercial department/function staff

    Representative Tasks/Job description

    The duties and responsibilities entail: -

  • Processing new customer accounts, updating the customers Register/account
  • Oversee performance management in the department
  • Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly and annual reports for the department
  • Prepare Board management papers for approval
  • Ensure that all the data with regards to monthly meter readings and payments is entered and verified
  • Ensuring timely billings of all services provided to customers
  • Maintaining accurate records
  • Preparing accurate reports as required
  • Liaising with other sections in provision of quality service to customers
  • Attending promptly to complaints from customers
  • Identify training needs for the departmental staff
  • Develop department budget and work plan
  • Mentor and coach departmental staff
  • Identify procurement needs of the department
  • Participate in strategic planning and implementation.
  • Responsible for physical assets assigned by the company
  • Makes strategic, operational and financial decisions for the Department
  • Plans the work of subordinates, assigns work to subordinates,monitors
  • Subordinates work performance. Appraises/evaluates subordinates Performance
  • Work closely with other departments/sections in all areas.
  • Performing related work as may be required

    (Academic/professional qualification /

    experience)
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Strategic
  • Management or any other Business-related field from a recognized Institution
  • CPA (K), ACCA or relevant professional qualification.
  • Member of a professional body in good standing
  • At least 7 years' experience with a minimum of 3 years in a managerial or supervisory position.

  • Applicants for Commercial Manager and Internal Auditor positions will be required to satisfy the requirement of chapter six of the constitution of Kenya 2010 and provide:
  • Certificate of Good conduct from the directorate of criminal investigations.
  • Clearance certificate from Higher Education Loan Board (HELB)
  • Tax compliance certificate from Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA)
  • Clearance from the Ethic and Anti-corruption Commission (EACC) and
  • Report from an approved Credit Reference Bureau (CRB)
