Job DescriptionTesfa Social and Development Association/TSDA is a Local Civil Society Organization established in 2000.
It engages on Poverty Alleviation, Health and HIV/AIDS Reduction.
The organization would like to employ qualified and enthusiastic Community Engagement Facilitator /CEF/.
The post holder would be responsible to conduct community based HIV testing based on clients' preference, conduct assisted HIV self-test for eligible clients at community, facilitate referral linkage from community to health facility and vice versa for ICT case management for PLHIV in the community including recording and reporting using paper-based system which later migrates to CommCare application, build capacity of community resource persons/CRPs (volunteers) through providing trainings, mentoring and close follow up, coordinate community stakeholders for effective communication on client's referral and other services.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct community-based HIV testing based on clients' preference
Collect the index case families of biological children, lost follow up and viral load count line list.
Conduct assisted HIV self-test for eligible clients at community.
Facilitate referral linkage from community to health facility and vice versa for ICT case management for PLHIV in the community including recording and reporting using paper-based system which later migrates to CommCare application.
Build capacity of community resource persons/CRPs (volunteers) through providing trainings, mentoring and close follow up
Coordinate community stakeholders for effective communication on client's referral and other services.
Trace lost follow ups
Facilitate community -facility linkage/referral
Enter timely data to CommCare
Perform other tasks assigned to him/her by TSDA etc
Job Requirements
Education
BSc in nursing
Experience
A minimum of 2 years of progressive experience in OVC, and care and treatment; at least 1 years of PEPFAR/USAID funded programs for HIV/AIDS, preferably in NGO setting.
Abilities and Skills
HIV self-test and HIV testing training on new national algorism.
Computer skill(Word, Excel and data base)
Skill in MS windows and MS Office packages (Excel, Word, Power point), Web conferencing applications,
Strong communication and interpersonal skill
Ability to coordinate and support volunteers working in the community
Demonstrated knowledge and skill in HIV counseling and testing; on PICT and ICT
Ability to work independently
Language and Proficiency
Good command of Spoken and written English and Amharic languages
