Job DescriptionTesfa Social and Development Association/TSDA is a Local Civil Society Organization established in 2000.
It engages on Poverty Alleviation, Health and HIV/AIDS Reduction. The organization would like to employ qualified and enthusiastic HTS Specialist.
The post holder will be responsible to the overall HIV testing services , new case identification and linkage to ART services by customizing new testing and case identification strategies that are applicable to PEPFAR/USAID community HIV prevention, care and treatment program.
S/he should work in collaboration with different government and private health facilities, PLHIV associations, community-based associations and partners in order to boost up the HIV testing services within the program catchment areas.
Duties and Responsibilities
Collaborate in implementing the overall objectives, strategies, budget priorities and operational plan of the project.
lead activities that will improve engagement and retention in care for PLWHA.
Support collaboration with healthcare providers, public health entities and relevant community based organizations.
Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal external stakeholders.
Promotes teamwork and cooperation needed for the success of the project.
Represent system HIV service to external agencies, community, public health and HIV/AIDS service agencies
Assure compliance with project HIV service standard and procedures other regulatory standards
Ensure adequate availability and patient access to beneficiary services across the system
Contribute to annual plan preparation which aligns with the goal and objectives of the project
Prepare and submit regular and timely performance reports to the COP adhering
to USAID reporting requirement
Represent TSDA in different occasions
Perform other tasks assigned to him/her by TSDA etc.
Job Requirements
Education
MA/MSC, BA Degree in public health, Nursing, Medicine or other health related field
Experience
Minimum of 4/6 years of progressive HTS experience in similar settings respectively; at least 3 years experience have to be on PEPFAR/ USAID funded programs for HIV/AIDS, preferably in an NGO setting..
Abilities and Skills
Ability to coordinate multiple assignments and to represent the project in a professional manner at all times
Skill in determining priorities, strong interpersonal skill and positive professional attitude
Skill in MS windows and MS Office packages (Excel, Word, Power point), Web conferencing applications,
Strong communication and interpersonal skill
Ability to work independently
Language and Proficiency
Good command of Spoken and written English and Amharic languages.
