Tenwek Hospital Senior Nutrition & Dietetics Technologist Jobs in Kenya

Purposes:

Planning, evaluating and implementing one or more of the following specific programs

Duties and responsibilities;

Breast feeding, growth monitoring and weaning;

Applied nutrition e.g. micronutrient or macronutrients

Nutrition Training:

Nutrition information and research.

Being resource person on nutrition in the health team;

Developing weaning foods with families using community resources

Supervising and guiding other staff working under the officer.

Qualifications

Diploma in food, Nutrition and Dietetics from a recognized University.

Must be a registered nutrition or dietitian KNDI.

Minimum 3 years’ work experience in emergency community nutrition and implementation.

Experience in nutrition survey and assessments.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong report writing and team working skills.

Knowledge in computer packages and basic analysis skills.

Flexible and positive personality.

Strong planning and implementation capacity.

Confident and capable negotiator, communicator, and networker.
