Responsibilities
CCT strategy
Represent ECA to, and coordinate and collaborate with the CCT and TNE matrix teams to ensure joined up strategies and work plans on CCT including integral mission envisioning and theological support.
Support country teams to develop CCT scale up strategies and implementation plans (and
their periodic review), incorporating both integral mission (and other relevant theological) envisioning and capacity building, and CCT practices and processes.
Ensure relevant input from key internal and external stakeholders in the strategy
development.
Ensure compatibility between the country plans and the global CCT strategies, and promote CCT links with both EES and Fragile States corporate priority themes.
Influencing the Church for Integral Mission
Support country teams to develop relations with key churches, networks and theological
institutions
Support the implementation of two Integral Mission envisioning conferences per year (ie one per programme over 3 years) for a broad section of identified church leaders
Supporting country teams to influence key church leaders to adopt CCT as their default.
Collaborate with TNE to ensure theological support and capacity building on key issues (EES, peacebuilding prosperity gospel etc) and to enable Tearfund to learn from theological thinking within the cluster.
Scaling up and Strengthening CCT
Support, mentor, coach and guide staff and partners to design and implement local and
national level CCT initiatives, including facilitating project design workshops.
Support country teams to develop the capacity of staff and partners in CCT through advice, coaching, linking or provision of training.
Supporting cross border/regional CCT initiatives that enable coherency and add value to country-level CCT work.
Support the development of sufficient numbers of quality CCT trainer of trainers
Help establish and support national and cluster level CCT coordinator / facilitator networks towards catalysing a movement of CCT practitioners.
Support/initiate innovative CCT pilots.
Learning and Information Management
Support the Contextualising of CCT tools and theology to ensure consistency, quality and
cross-learning in their application.
Support the monitoring and evaluation of CCT programmes, and promote the dissemination
of learning within the ECA and across the wider organisation.
Facilitate the sharing of experience and learning across the region and with wider CCT
movements, helping to capture learning and facilitate mutual prayer support.
Networking &
Representation
Support country teams to build and maintain relationships with others outside the Tearfund,
including partners, Churches denominations, theological institutions, and Parachurch
organisations including mission organisations involved in CCT.
Represent Tearfund, with country teams or as delegated where required, at external
events such as Church forums, interagency meetings and NGO network meetings
relevant to CCT.
Qualifications
Degree or equivalent level of knowledge Qualification in International
Development
Qualification in Theology
Experience of the community
development sector in ECA
Experience of working in or with national
churches
Experience of programmes which mobilise
the local church to engage with their
communities
Experience of influencing, mobilising
others and developing networks.
Experience of strategy development
Experience of budget management
Proven experience in delivering innovation
and collaboration
Proven experience of capturing and
sharing of learning to build the capacity of
others.
Experience in leading / facilitating
theological discussions
Experience in managing the
publication of written materials
such as manuals or other educational materials
Experience in ecumenical
engagement
Fluent written and spoken English
Ability to communicate clearly, assertively
and diplomatically in order to influence
and network effectively
Ability to work well cross culturally, both
between different ECA cultures and those
outside of the region.
