Trade and Development Bank Group - TDB Group is a specialized African multilateral financial institution serving most of the Eastern and Southern Africa.

The Bank's objective is to provide short, medium and long term financing to viable projects and trade finance activities in member states.

TDB Group acquired 1.052 acres approximately 4.255 square meters parcel of land on Lenana Road. Nairobi. opposite the Sri Lanka High Commission.

The Bank has just commenced the construction of its modern High Rise office Building and would like to recruit a Client Technical Representative (CTR) on a fixed term contract as soon as possible.

Terms of Reference:

Reporting to the Chief Program Manager (CPM). the role of the CTR is to assist the Project Office achieve its mandate of ensuring the successful construction delivery of the TDB Nairobi Office Development Project.

He / She will be the day to day technical representative of the client on site and an extension of the project office.

Specifically, the Client Technical Representative will perform the functions summarized below.

During Project Construction: to support the CPM in his role as client during the construction stage especially in site meetings and inspections.

The CTR Is, as observed on site to report on co-ordination; timeliness of implementation and program monitoring; proper recording and documentation and management of information; noting problems during construction and possible solutions and reporting to the CPM.

Project Completion and handover;

The objective is for this stage Is for the CTR to help CPM ensure successful completion of the project and hand over in good working order with requisite documentation done and submitting requisite reports to the CPM. General Qualifications / Requirements:
Requirements Comments/observations

Academic Qualifications Diploma and Higher National Diploma and or. University Degree In construction related fields.

An all-round experience in building construction is critical.

Mandatory experience in a building construction site

based role.

Qualifications in and or Quantity Surveying. Architecture. Civil/Structural Engineering, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering. Project Management. Construction Management etc.

Experiences

Overall. 10-15 years' relevant work experience in the building construction industry especially on a site based role.

Recent relevant past experiences 5-10 Years in modern High Rise office Block developments of at least 12 storeys with basements, installations etc.

Other Requirements

Personally available to be directly contracted for the job. (Role and responsibility cannot be assigned to others).

Not to hold any other job/role in the period of contract.

Impeccable integrity and ethical standing.

Good writing and verbal communication skills. Excellent e-mail skills.

Solid and verifiable references from reputable clients, consultants and projects.
