Responsibilities:

Sommelier

Responsible for ordering, receiving, inventory, organizing and selling wine for all departments

Oversee all wine purchases and cost management

Oversee the wine of the month selection, introduction of new vendors, wineries, etc.

Assist members and guests during the dinner service with wine recommendations and selection for perfect pairing with their dinner, decanting of the wine and wine service

Develop a training program for all Team Members to improve their knowledge of wine tasting and wine service

Who Are You?

Required skills and Competencies:

Qualification in Food & Beverage qualification is a definite advantage

At least 2 years of experience in specialty wine operations and beverage production

A strong knowledge of food and beverage pairings

Must be passionate about wine

Must possess superior people skills

The ability to determine wine faults and maintain proper temperatures in order to showcase products at their maximum potential.

Tamambo Karen Blixen In House DJ Jobs in Kenya

Location: Nairobi

Starting date: Immediate.

Responsibilities:

Provide music at events

Set up and operate DJ equipment and technologies

Select the music to be played

Play and mix music for a live

Perform turntable scratching

Interact with their audience and take their requests

Developing playlists.

Who Are You?

Required skills and Competencies:

Previous deejaying skills

Knowledge of basic music theory

Knowledge of software such as Virtual DJ Home, Traktor Pro 2 or Mixxx

Knowledge of vinyl, turntables, and Midi controllers

Knowledge of different music genres

Knowledge of past and present music trends.

Tamambo Karen Blixen Restaurant Cashier Jobs in Kenya

Location: Nairobi

Starting date: Immediate.

Responsibilities:

Receive and process all payments for restaurant guests

Handle guest complaints with follow up to ensure guest satisfaction

Settle all guest checks in the computerized system and maintain accountability for all financial transactions.

Compute and record totals of transactions.

Maintain complete knowledge of point-of-sale and manual systems and procedures.

Any other duties assigned from time to time

Who Are You?

Required skills and Competencies:

Qualification in Food & Beverage Sales & Service qualification is a definite advantage

Three (3) years prior experience in same or similar position.

Ability to communicate satisfactorily in English with guests/visitors, management and colleagues.

Ability to remain stationary at assigned position for extended periods of time.

Ability to input and access information into the point-of-sale system.

Ability to prioritize, organize and follow up.
