Job Purpose: The main purpose of the role is to identify, engage, develop, and retain talented employees. The role is responsible for the development, implementation and improvement of business-wide staff development strategy including staff assessments, competency needs analysis, career plans and performance management. The role is also responsible for aligning the organizational culture to the business strategy.
Main responsibilities for the role include;• Development and implementation of the organization’s Talent Strategy in collaboration with the business leaders and in line with the business strategy.
• Spearheads the talent attraction, development, engagement, and retention.
• Design and manage multiple programs, processes and systems to enhance organizational effectiveness including talent reviews, succession planning, mentoring, coaching and internal mobility.
• Maintain Talent management budget.
• Manage the Performance management system and the staff Career Development process.
• Manage organizational development, design and coordinate learning and development programs and processes. This includes physical, Virtual etc. training programs for both soft skills, professional and technical programs.
• Track training attendance, prepare reports and constantly review and update the existing training modules
• Keep abreast with L&D global trends, developments, and best practices to ensure alignment and implementation of best practices.
• Ensure that program activities comply with all relevant legislation, professional standards and OEM global training standards.
• Monitor analyse internal training programs to ensure uptake, alignment, reporting.
• Ensure that technical
training programs are effective and efficient and meet the required technical training standards and business needs.
• Develop and drive organizational culture alignment initiatives
• Liaison with HQ and Campus to ensure global alignment
• Any other duties as may be allocated from time to time.
Qualifications• A Bachelor of Education degree, Organizational Development or related field.
• A minimum of 10 years’ experience in Talent Management, Learning & Development or Organizational culture and development.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Track record in developing and executing successful Learning & Development programs.
• Critical thinker with innovative critical thinking skills.
• Highly computer literate with proficiency in MS Office and related business and communication tools.
• Familiar with traditional and modern training processes.
• Fantastic organizational and time management skills.
• Strategic and creative mindset.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
