ResponsibilitiesConduct mechanical inspection and accurate diagnosis of assigned vehicles/plants (Forklifts and wheel loaders) within the agreed timeline to define specific causes of failure
Diagnose vehicle electrical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
Repair or replace faulty electrical components, such as alternators, starters, batteries, and wiring harnesses.
Install aftermarket electrical accessories, including audio systems, security systems, and lighting upgrades.
Perform electrical system upgrades and modifications to meet customer specifications.
Inspect and test electrical systems to ensure proper functionality and safety.
Comprehensively and accurately quantify the exact repairs that need to be done to bring the vehicle or plant back to operations
Conduct vehicle and plant repairs thoroughly addressing the root causes of failure
Conduct thorough periodical servicing of vehicles /plants and replace all components that need to be replaced
Complete job cards and service cards accurately, comprehensively and neatly before starting vehicle / plant repairs
Ensure the job cards are available, accessible and kept inside every vehicle during the entire time the vehicle / plant will be at the workshop
Check off all repairs on the job card progressively to give real time status of the vehicles / plants under repair
Store the assigned tools, equipment, spares safely. Do not leave them unattended when stepping away from the workshop
Actively participate in keeping the workshop clean and well organized at all times. Ensure that vehicles
/ plants brought to the workshop are systematically parked and not at any available space
Qualifications
Proven experience in repairing vehicles/plants in a busy workshop for at least 5 years.
Excellent knowledge of truck systems, machinery and hydraulic, electrical and other systems and their components
Ability to follow established procedures and practices and read instruction, blueprints etc.
A strong commitment to all health and safety guidelines
Ability, competence and certification to drive trucks up to 10 wheelers
A diploma in mechanical or automotive engineering or related is preferred
Knowledge and skills in vehicle/plant electrical systems will be an added advantage
Valid driving license

Ability to make swift informed decision to reduce MTTR on all trucks
