Position
Taam Cab is seeking a head of accounting.

Reporting
The head of accounting will report to the managing director of Taam Cab.

Job Overview
The head of accounting will be responsible for managing the accounting and bookkeeping of Taam Cab. This will include the day-to-day recording of financial transactions, paying any invoices, and ensuring tax compliance.

The head of accounting will also be responsible for developing and implementing systems for collecting, analyzing, and verifying financial information, in addition to creating concise reports to deliver to management and the board.

Core Responsibilities and Duties

Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department

Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports and statements

Create month and end-year process, cash forecasts, and revenue analysis

Keep records of receipts, debt payments, invoices, and revenue

Establish

and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles

Coordinate and complete annual audits

Provide recommendations for improving accounting system

Meet financial accounting objectives

Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions

Ensure compliance with all tax regulations

Job Requirements

Qualifications

BS degree in Accounting or Finance

5+ years experience as an accounting manager, Accounting Supervisor or Finance Manager

Advanced computer skills on MS Office and accounting software

Ability to work with large amounts of data

Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations

High attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to manage accounting team

Knowledge of local business and financial regulations in Ethiopia

Fluency in English and Amharic required

Fluency in other Ethiopian languages such as Oromo or Tigrinya a plus

Ethiopian citizenship or immigration status enabling work in Ethiopia

Willingness to be based in Addis Ababa
