Our client, a Hospitality group with offices in Nairobi, is seeking an enthusiastic Reservations Lead. The successful candidates will mainly be responsible for the room allocations and Tour Series for the DMC’s, managing room inventory and ensure all the bookings, rates and market codes are up to date. Experience in the hospitality industry is a MUST!

Key Responsibilities

Contract room allocations and Tour Series for DMCs according to length of stay, number of properties used and availability

Manage our room inventory, release periods and terms and conditions for allocations and block bookings

Ensure the team processes all reservations requests, changes and cancellations according to established policies and procedures

Ensuring that maximum occupancies and revenues are achieved through upselling/cross selling, encouraging circuit bookings and offering alternatives

Confirm waitlists as soon as space becomes available

Monitor, escalate and resolve overbookings in a

timely manner

Meet or exceed established monthly and annual sales targets

Create, maintain and keep accurate customer records within the CRS System

Maintain an established filing system for all correspondence and collate reports as required by Head of Reservations

Attend weekly and monthly department meetings and prepare accordingly

Conduct site visits as deemed necessary

Requirements

Bachelors degree or Diploma in Hospitality

Proven track record in Reservations with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience

Exceptional communication skills

Charismatic and approachable personality

Strong organizational and time management skills
