Our client a prominent Agri and Laboratory solutions company is seeking to hire a Regional Business Development Agronomist to be based in Naivasha, Kenya. He /She will be responsible for achieving maximum sales profitability, growth and account penetration within Naivasha region by effectively selling the company’s products and services.

The successful candidate Must have 5 years’ experience interacting directly with the farmers around Naivasha region in both Horticulture and floriculture either by working in the farms or selling services/products to these farms.

Key Responsibilities:

New client’s acquisition through following and actioning to close a well properly developed pipeline.

Contacting and Presenting Company to potential clients through meetings, cold-calls, emails and farm visits.

Work closely with the Customer Success Team to cross-sell products to the existing clientele.

Participation and attending industry functions and events like field days, exhibitions and conferences to showcase and promote brand.

Implement strategies for new products entry into the market by carrying out promotion and market positioning activities in conjunction with the marketing department.

Assist the marketing team on B2C businesses

in building marketing content for company social media platforms and other marketing materials.

Build Trust and long-term relationships with customers, partners and other stakeholders through scheduled visits and working closely with the technical sales team.

Respond to feedback and queries from customers and partners.

Qualifications:

Must have a degree in Agronomy, Soil Science, Agriculture or related field.

Must have 5 years’ experience interacting directly with the farmers around Naivasha region in both Horticulture and floriculture either by working in the farms or selling services/products to these farms.

Must be familiar with the farming enterprises in Naivasha region.

Should be Customer oriented, sharp in finding and closing deals.

Good in building relationships at different clientele levels.

Required proficiency and knowledge in certain systems.
