Our Client, a Food Manufacturing Company is seeking to recruit a Quality Assurance Manager. The successful candidate will develop and implement quality assurance plans, budgets, and reports.

Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and certifications. He/she will also oversee the quality team, implement food safety management programs, Communicate with suppliers, contractors, and customers on food safety and quality issues. The ideal candidate MUST have prior experience in Food Manufacturing sector.

Key Requirements:

Lead the quality team and provide leadership in the implementation of GPL Quality and Food safety management programs.

Evaluate operational policies and systems to identify opportunities for improvement and facilitate continual improvement.

Develop and implement all quality assurance and food safety related plans.

Ensure outsourced services providers have valid contracts.

Initiate and provide guidance and ensure compliance with the certifications by relevant bodies such as KEBS, Kenya Dairy Boards, UNBS, TFDA, Halal

Generate and update the Lab Manual.

Co-ordinate and

oversee all internal and external food safety and quality audits.

Participate in product development and ensure compliance with all relevant requirements, standards and industry best practices.

Qualifications:

Relevant Bachelor’s degree in food science or dairy science or any other relevant Degree.

Minimum 6 years working experience in quality management in FMCG at managerial level.

Must have a strong working knowledge of HACCP, GMP, ISO 22000, FSSC & other food management systems.

Must possess ISO 22000 or 9001 lead auditors Certificate.
