Our client a renowned hospital in Kisumu is seeking to hire a Hospital Administrator. The successful candidate will be responsible for Overseeing daily administrative hospital operations, develop and implement operational policies for efficiency/ compliance, act as the custodian of all hospital-related documents and records. The ideal candidate must have 5+ years of experience in healthcare administration for a known hospital in the country.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily administrative hospital operations to ensure smooth functioning.

  • Monitor expenses, propose cost-effective solutions, and manage utility payments.

  • Coordinate activities with service providers, overseeing updates and reports.

  • Act as a project manager for hospital constructions, renovations, and installations.

  • Develop and implement operational policies for efficiency and compliance.

  • Manage work schedules, leaves, and performance monitoring of staff.

  • Handle staff leaves, absences, and reviews of working hours.

  • Address queries from stakeholders, partners, staff, and patients.

  • Resolve potential issues concerning patients, partners, and
    vendors.

  • Approve credit notes under 100,000 and oversee expenditure for supervised departments.

  • Stay updated with healthcare regulations and compliance standards.

  • Act as the custodian of all hospital-related documents and records.

  • Manage statutory regulations, premises licensing, and service provider contracts.

  • Oversee Human Resource documents, personnel files, and committee minutes.

    Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration or related field.

  • Must have 5+ years of experience in healthcare administration for a known hospital in the country.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency in budgeting, policy development, and staff management.

  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standards.
