Sumitomo Foundation: Japan-Related Research Grants in Asian Countries

Purpose of the subsidy and target of the subsidy

By supporting research related to Japan (Japanese studies, comparative research that includes Japan, international relations research, exchange history research, etc.) by researchers from each country, mainly targeting East Asian and Southeast Asian countries, we will support each of these countries. The aim is to create a foundation for deepening understanding of Japan within the country, and ultimately to help promote mutual understanding between Asian countries and Japan.
